On a summery day a great spot to hang out in Rotterdam is the area around Hotel New York and Deliplein (Delisquare) in an area callled Katendrecht. It's on the river the Maas.
The best way to get there is to rent a bike (for example near our central train station) and go for a nice ride. On the way there you'll pass the city centre, our famous Witte de With street (another favourite hangout with lots of nice bars and restaurants) and the Erasmusbridge with pretty views of the Rotterdam skyline.
On the other side of the bridge you will find the Rotterdam Photo Museum, Hotel New York with its deckchairs and if you pass the footbridge near Hotel NY you will reach Deliplein in Katendrecht with its Fenix Food Loft and some more nice independent restaurants.
On a sunny day there will be al fresco dining and a great atmosphere!
Tempting?
